I LOVE April. We have the super long weekend during Easter (both Friday and Monday are public holidays) and another long weekend during Anzac Day. Both Charles and I did absolutely nothing and had a wonderful time!
Charles and I have been married for a little more than 3 years now and many people have been asking the same question. 'When are you guys planning for kids?' My friends have been asking, my colleagues and my relatives have asked the same question. Last week, my mother in Law even gave me a fertility doctor's contact number. To be honest, we've been trying for 1 and a half years now. I was a little worried after 1 year and still no news, but I'm taking it easy now. Children are blessing from God and if it's meant to be, I'll eventually have one. In the meantime I'll enjoy my freedom while I can :)
On Saturday afternoon, we had a BBQ with some friends and all of them brought their kids along. We spend the afternoon with the kids picking up sea shells and throwing pebbles into the river. They had such a wonderful time! It's amazing how happy and satisfied kids can get with life's simple pleasures.

Yippee it's the Easter long weekend and I've taken 4 more days off straight after! I'm so in need of this break from work. It's been an extremely stressful week waiting for news. So far I've not heard any news about the security of my job. However, there's already quite a number of staff who's been informed that their role have been made redundant. I hope to find out more info by the end of the month. A BIG Thank You to all my relatives and friends who have given me so much support and prayers through this stressful period.
Well on a lighter note, the reason for the big 'ewwwwwwww' on the title of this post is due to what happened to me on Thursday. Being Easter eve, we has lots of hot cross buns and Easter eggs to eat at work. On top of that, we also had a really yummy chocolate fountain with heaps of strawberrys, bananas, marshmellows...etc. Just as I was leaving work, my big boss came over to wish me happy Easter and gave me a big smooch on my cheeks. Having just eaten from the chocolate fondue, he left a chocolate mark on my face. He pointed at my face and stared laughing, then came the gross part. He licked his finger and used it to rub the chocolate off my face...ewwwwww. I was composed throughout the entire ordeal but spent the next 15 mins in the toilet washing my face.!!!
I was so grossed out, I went for some retail therapy - OPI DS Classic. It's extremely beautiful, very classy and great for office use. The colour is not so out there but the shine is simply stunning!

I was out shopping last Friday evening for
Jane Iredale's Amazing Base Mineral powder and bumped into a lovely girl in the shop. Being beauty fanatics, we could relate to each other and ended up shopping together! She introduced me to this range of Nail Polish from
Kit Cosmetics and I fell in love immediately. The colour is intense and there's a wide range of shimmering colours which I particularly love. There's even a special range called the Changeling where by the nail polish colour actually morph when painted with a top coat. I ended up buying 2 shimmer shades and 1 Changeling shade. Look what I did to dress up the good old shimmery sliver nail polish.

When we were young, I loved playing with my sister's hair. I'll sit her down and tie her hair up in all sorts of manner. I love dolling others up and treated her like my real life Barbie! To this day when we bring up our childhood memories, she'll always complain that I was extremely rough with her hair and caused her lots of pain! (so sorry Small Y) Ofcourse that happened when I was really young and didn't know how to be gentle with one's hair (Barbie didn't seem to mind when I tug and pull at her hair)!
Fastforward 20+ years and I'm still the same today. Ask my aunty who comes over to visit me every year. I've attempted to curl her hair, put on mineral make up etc etc... Ofcourse now that my parents are staying with me, my mom is not spared from being dolled up. She's never tried wearing tights and a big top before and I got her to wear one today. Look at how chic she looks!
