I saw this set of teddy bear nails in a nail magazine for Valentines Day. It looks so adorable, I just had to make a set for myself! For this set of nails, I used 3D gels instead of acrylics as they are really easy to mould and will not harden until you cure them under the UV light. That way, you can shape and reshape all you want before setting the design. The only draw back is the longer time taken to wait for the gels to harden under the UV lamp.

It took me ages to get this set done. I think it was 4a.m. before I managed to go to bed (started at 11pm)! But it was really fun making them.

One of my favourite red nail polish!

Pushed a rhinestone into the 3D Gel before setting it in the UV lamp

Wow you are incredible at this 3D nail art thing! I just started using acrylic moulds and already I'm having problems!

Thank you Bonita :) I like the big teddy bear on my thumb the most. For some reason, it looks better if I draw them bigger.

Hi Cheryl, I bought an acrylic mould recently and it takes a bit of getting use to. I still prefer hand drawing them. Practice a few times on paper and I'm sure you'll be able to master it :)

ooh, did you use the tutorial from feb. nail max??! it has to be, it looks exactly like it!! aren't the teddy bears cute, you did a good job to make it a bit more simple, i think all the rhinestones overtook the teddy in the example )=

Bleh! I have the same problem, whenever I try to do a bunch of the same decoration, the smaller ones always look much crappier. XD

You did a great job on the bears though, I saw the same set in a magazine, I think!

Yes Piper they were from the Feb issue for Nail Max. Next time when I do cute nails like this, I'll remember to draw them Huge :)

How do you use the 3d gel? I have one but it is really sticky and I can`t use it. It looks like normal gel, but just a bit thicker

Hi K'Thee, my 3D gel has a very pasty consistancy so the mould and hold it's shape very well. Maybe you can dry out your gel a bit before using it that might make them easier to mould. But make sure you don't expose them to sunlight or they will harden.
