I feel so refreshed after taking 2 weeks leave from work. It's back to work for me tomorrow. Hope it doesn't get too busy these couple of weeks. I think everyone is in holiday mode at this time of the year.

I wanted something cheerful and season appropriate. This is what happens when candy cane strips gets mixed up with a summer 3D acrylic flower design hehe.

The background is OPI's - Isn't It Romantic?

My broken middle finger nail is slowly growing out. I can only fit one flower on it :)

For the strips, I used Essie's- Watermelon

I was out shopping with my sister and her boyfriend and he helped me pick out this neutral colour nail polish called 'Tickle y France-y'. I noticed that the title is a bit of an oxymoron, because if you were to wear a neutral colour, you would want to keep it natural. The problem for me is that I don't usually wear skin tone nail polish and wearing it just by itself seems a little bit too bare for me hehe :)

This is how my neutral nail polish end up looking after adding a few black and silver stripes, sliver glitter and 3D acrylic flowers.

My colleague have been flying over to Melbourne the past 3 years to attend the annual Melbourne Cup event. For people who don't know what it is, it's an annual horse racing event held at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. I know many people turn up dressed in their best. Women attend this event in beautiful dresses, elegant hats or fascinators. The best dressed man and woman stand a chance to win substantial prizes! What I didn't know was that other than the actual Melbourne Cup day, there are lots of other events during the race week. Like Derby Day where it's traditional to wear only black and white (It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in 'My fair Lady').

For such a special event, I created a set of nails for my friend to match both her black and white dress on Derby Day and the pink dress on Melbourne Cup day.

The Summer heat is on! I nearly died this afternoon when the thermometer registered 39 deg.c! This beautiful orange colour 'OPI - In my Back Pocket' was one of my recent purchase. It's a beautiful bright orange that I absolutely love. Most importantly this mani lasted me 3 weeks without any touch ups!

I think I have not seen my sister for about 2 years. Imagine my excitement when she said she was coming over to visit me! We spent 2 gorgeous weeks together, just hanging out and catching up like sisters do. I wished we had more time together!

During her visit I made 2 set of nails for her. The first one I didn't manage to take a picture of, but I managed to capture the second set minutes before she depart. This set of mani and pedi was made hours before her flight back to Singapore. It was such a rush job I didn't even manage to do a proper clean up hehe.

These photos were taken at the airport
The lighting at the airport was not very good
Pedi to match!

I wanted to create something cute and summery this week. I think out of all my nail polish collection, this is the third yellow nail polish I bought. My skin tone doesn't really go well with certain yellow and green, but I really like this colour on. I used a dotting tool and white nail polish to create the polka dots. The blue roses were drawn on using acrylic paint.

Broken Finger Nails :(
I was looking through my nail polish collection and came across this OPI nail polish named 'Aphrodire's Pink Nightie'. It was one of my favourite nail polish colour from my early polish craze days.

I'm using it today together with OPI's Cherry Blossom, just to give it a subtle glitter look. This very simple and fast nail art is created entirely using nail stickers. They are so convenient especially when you need to create something fast but don't have enough time or energy.

I've officially ditched dark colours this Spring! I'm so into bright or pastel colours this season.
This is China Glaze - Agent Lavender with lilac and white acrylic and purple bullions.

My colleague recently got married and I gave her this set of nails to match her watermelon red evening gown. On the wedding day, I realised that the colour also matched her hand bouquet!

I've got lots of pretty Spring nail colour nail art lined up. Stay tuned! :)

Ever since I bought my first jar of silver acrylic powder, I've been looking around for more metallic acrylics. This Gold and Bronze metallic box set by Nfu.Oh was my most recent purchase. The colour didn't look very interesting when you look at the acrylic powders, but when I tried applying it on a piece of paper, I was pleasantly surprised by it!

There are some very nice gold and bronze as well as some metallic shades in green, blue and dark purple.

I decided the try some of the gold and bronze colours first. They are so vibrant after application! The bronze colour will be especially great for making autumn leaves!
