Oh what a fun and relaxing holiday! I've taken a couple of weeks off to spend time with my uncle and auntie who've come over to visit me from Singapore. We went shopping, eating, vegetated at home and watched lots and lots of dramas! Sigh I wished everyday could be like this hehehe...

For my nails this week, I've chosen to attempt 3D acrylic nail art. It was so fun and smelly hahaha. To create the flowers, I had to dip my brush into this strong smelling monomer liquid and then into acrylic powder and draw each petal onto my nails. Took me ages but it was great fun! The only let down was the new gel like top coat I used to seal the design. It created so much bubbles that I almost want to remove the entire art work and redo them again! sigh...

My toes were pampered this time too!

Wow, such great results for a first time! I was wondering, are those your natural nails? They almost look too good to be true :) On a more practical note, how do you remove the flowers when you want something new?

Hi Lisa Joanna, thank you for visiting my blog. Yes those are my natural nails. It's really easy to remove the flowers. What I usually do is to use a cotton ball and soak it with acetone then place it ontop of the nail. Using a piece of aluminium foil, I wrap my finger and cotton ball up. This is to allow the acetone to gently dissolve and soften the acrylic. After soaking for 5 - 10 mins, I remove the aluminium foil and use the remaining acetone on the cotton ball to wipe the nail clean. Sometimes I may need to use an orange stick to gently push the flowers away.
