I've recently created a set of wedding nails that took me ages to complete. For some reason, I had a design mental block and threw away several nail designs before I came up with the final set.
My friend's wedding dress was cream and gold and her evening gown was a beautiful emerald. I wanted to create a set of nails that's suitable for a Spring/Summer wedding that incorporate all the above colours.
I had to discard these nails because they didn't pass my strictest critique (my dad)!
The big green glitter was making it look really busy and the dried flowers were not bright and glam enough for a wedding, said my critique :) These were the final set created after some additional input from my critique (thanks dad!).

OMG!!! this is sooo pretty!!!
I love this a lot!!
very nice =) I love the final set, so awesome =)
I'm not sure how I ended up here, but I must say that I'm completely stunned by your nail designs. How on earth you did create these flowers is beyond my imagination:-)
Thank you Renate. Although this set of nails took me so long to make. It was all worth it when I see the smile on the bride wearing it.
Hi Trincess, yes the final set is my favourite as well. I'm glad I changed the base to a smaller gold flake glitter. It looks so much better.

It's funny because my Dad is my biggest critic too ~ but trying to make sure that I reach his standard means that I end up producing the best results. Sometimes it's a real pain, but I guess it's always worth it in the end.
I love that last set of nails, I definitely think they are the best out of all of them. ^ w ^

Your Dad sounds lovely Jin. It's nice that he takes an interest in your work. He's so proud of you ;)... I think the final set is beautiful and you did a magnificent job. I love the wedding dress too. That is simply stunning on such a beautiful figure! Happy 2011 to you ;) xx
Hi Wolfie thanks for dropping by. Those flowers are created using acrylics. After moulding them into shape with a brush and while it is still slightly soft, I used a thin metal tool to cut out the vertical grooves.
Hi Bonita, I understand what you mean. But perseverance always produces the best results :) your dad is exactly like mine hehe.
Thank you Danielle! You should see the evening dress as well. That's even more stunning! I'll look for a picture of that dress and upload it. Happy New Year to you too :)
It's so nice to have papa to be interested on nails, but other than the final one (they are lovely~!), in fact i like the 1st nails too that your dad didnt pass it.. :p
anyways,Happy Chinese New Year in advanced~! hehehe...
Beautiful. Your Dad really has an eye for colour and detail then! hehe. Your work amazes me.
Hi Rachel, Happy Chinese New Year to you too! I also like the dry flowers too. I will try creating another mani with those flowers!
Thank you Janine! Yes, my dad has a natural flair for matching colours. I'm currently doing my interior deco for my house. I drag my dad all over town to help me choose the right furnishings ;) I think he enjoys the process as well. It's really fun to have someone close to share your interest with!
how beautiful! i love the final mani, but i love the other designs too!!~ :)
Thanks Katrina! I really want to recreate this design again. But maybe in a different colour.
